I’ve been trying to figure out if it’s possible to scan for 802.11b access points using a PalmOS device. Digging around led me to WarDriving.com, a site dedicated to this sort of thing. While there’s no PalmOS solution (and there likely will never be, since the way a Palm talks to the 802.11b via PPP), there are some Java apps, like Mognet. While there’s a way to compile and run Java apps using Waba, it’s still not going to work. Oh well. But at least Waba is cool — I’ll have to check it out more closely.
