Charlie & The Chocolate Factory: DH first mentioned this last month, now its locked - Variety reports that Johnny Depp is pretty much all set to play Willy Wonka in Tim Burton’s remake.

I think Johnny Depp will rock at this role hes been EXCELLENT in ever movie hes been in hes the best actor ever! and not to mention the hottest!

Wow i have every movie that johnnys been in and i think that ill have to add this one to the collection hes one of the most inspiring astors and he can take on the role of ne one and have fun and do an awnesome jod at it. Ii hope that he gets some more nominations for awards so i can see him on the red carpet. KEEP ON ACTING AND I HOPE THAT YUOR AROUNG FOR EVER!!!!! LOVE U LOTS

From the first moment I heard that Johnny was going to be Willy Wonka I went bezerk!!!!! I loved the book, the first movie, and now … well, I love it even more!!!, TIm Burton always amaze me and I am a huge fan…so I only expect a great movie!

From the very first time i saw Johnny depp in Edward Scissorhands his acting burnt a mark into my head, I watched all 35 of his movies, People shouldn’t just like him for his looks. He is a brilliant actor and stands out from any of the actors ive ever seen in any film.

I love Johnny Depp to death I cant wait until the second and third Pirates of the Caribbean The Curse of the Black Pearl to come out and i cant wait to see the Charlie and the Chocolate factory. I would die to see Johnny Depp in person or at least talk to him person to person. Well make lots more movies Johnny.

i think he well be a kick-ass Willy Wonka and will be a better film but the older one is cool. i think he should do more kids &teens movie cuz he has 3 kids.if i don’t make sence i understand b-cuz im half asleep.

While I most certainly love Johnny Depp, as well as Willy Wonka and the Chocalate Factory, I see no need for them to have remade the movie in the first place. I am sure however, (since the idiots that be decided to remake the movie) that Depp will once again astound all with his prowess at acting, and will undoubtedly completely remake the character of Wonka into something that is Johnny Depp, not Gene Wilder.

I think Marylin Manson would make a good Willy Wonka, maybe in some underground perversion of the film. BUt as far as a faimly film goes Johny Depp should be awsome as ussuale

I am a huge fan of Tim Burton, can’t wait. I hope it won’t suck like the other remake he did ” Planet of the Apes”, that’s the only of his movies which i don’t like. This will be the 4th film with Burton and Depp.P.s.: Tim Burton is also making “The Corpse Bride” stop-motion film with Depp’s voice.

I’m really happy about johnny playing willy wonka. The latest pictures released are brilliant and fact Tim Burton is directing is also really good. Johnny is basing this character on Marilyn Manson, so i think thats great, cos marilyn manson rocks.
