As I was watching the New England / Seattle NFL game today, I couldn’t help noticing how often the announcers use the word “clutch”.
“He’s great in these clutch situations.”
“That is one clutch player right there.”
“He can’t handle those critical, clutch plays!”
“I like an automatic transmission because I can’t handle using a clutch.”
Now, if there’s an NFL drinking game out there, someone has to add at least a good beer gulp for every mention of the word “clutch”. You’ll surely all be shitfaced drunk by halftime.
