I was sitting in on a conference at LinuxWorld yesterday, and for maybe 20 seconds I got distracted while the speaker went on about something. When I returned my attention to him, I realized I missed something important he said. For a brief moment I thought, “no problem I’ll just hit the rewind button and hear what he said.” I find my Tivo far too convenient.
If there’s not already a term for this, I think I’ve coined one: Tivosis.

GREAT STUFF. A similar thought hit me today, and until I found your comment, I believed I had coined a new word. Here’s my proposed definition for Websters: “An irrational sense of deprivation or loss at the inability to pause, rewind or replay real life.”
