Happy first birthday to my son Owen, who’s official birthday came yesterday. The post here is late by a day, but I got it on time over at Blogging Baby!
God, I love that kid.

Since having Owen around, I have a new…um…appreciation for the sheer amplitude of a baby’s backfiring capabilities. It seems Ikea has finally also realized this wonder of childhood themselves.
Does anyone have a clue as to why my dog runs out of the room like Scooby Doo from a ghost when baby Owen dumps in his diaper? It’s definitely audible, though many times it’s not discernable from an adult fart. So why is a baby’s fart suddenly so scary to my dog?
It’s funny as hell, but it’s still weird.
Forgot to mention I posted this the other day. It’s been tought to find time to do much online these past couple of weeks, but things are clearing up such that I’ll be back again soon.
I figure I’ll update here when I have something new on BB, so here it is.
If anything else I write there is of interest to you, like repeated news and such, you’ll just visit the site often on your own anyway. Oh, and post comments on those posts there instead of here — it makes me look special.
Oh, and in case you’re new to the “blogging” world (and especially if you’re not), you can manage and read them much more efficiently by using your My Yahoo! page or any number of RSS readers. Personally I use Bloglines, which really is amazing. You can easily save entries aside in folders, post them to your own little blog (mine is here), and setup mail addresses where you can have mailing lists delivered and not have them plug up your inbox.
The RSS feeds you can subscribe to in the readers aren’t all personal blog crap like this site. If you keep up with more than a few websites on a regular basis, consider an RSS reader. Let me warn you though that if you’re not careful, it can be a serious time suck. Oh, and you can subscribe to this site on bloglines using this link.
